Ford Just Unveiled a Smart Crib That Mimics a Car Ride

If you’re one of those parents who has hit the road all in the name of getting baby to sleep, then you will appreciate Ford’s new futuristic smart crib that is meant to mimic the snooze-inducing effects of a car ride at home and without burning any gas.

The crib, officially named Max Motor Dreams, features the sounds of a muffled engine, the gentle movement one would experience in the backseat, and even LED lights that move to simulate passing street lamps.

It all comes to life via smartphone app—as much of today’s baby gear does—monitoring your car’s sounds and movements from a specific route and then sending it to the crib to emulate and lull your Mini to sleep.

But don’t get too excited just yet. Ford has only built one Max Motor Dreams crib so far, however if demand is high enough, they will consider a full production run in the future.

What do you think of this new smart crib? Would it help your littles sleep? Tell us below!
