When Nashville lifestyle blogger Hunter Premo welcomed her third child and first daughter, Frankie, she wanted a nursery that felt both beautiful and deeply personal.

To bring the vision to life, she collaborated with acclaimed interior designer Stephanie Sabbe, author of Interiors of a Storyteller, who helped transform the space into a warm and whimsical retreat. The result is a room layered with sentiment, charm, and timeless style— perfectly fit for a baby girl.

Hunter and Stephanie began with a soft foundation of whimsical wallpaper and pale painted trim, then layered in girly accents, cozy textures, and carefully chosen furniture (both new and old!). Dramatic custom curtains frame the windows and instantly elevate the room, while a glass chandelier of scattered petals hangs overhead.

What makes Frankie’s nursery truly remarkable are the sentimental details tucked into every corner. A series of shadowboxes hold handwritten letters from grandparents and even Hunter’s mother’s childhood flower girl dress— which Frankie will wear too upon turning three.

A carousel horse figurine, once a part of Hunter’s husband’s nursery, now lives here alongside a delicate needlepoint piece from the same era. On the walls, MacKenzie-Childs Rosy Check butterflies flutter playfully, while an heirloom painting from her great-great uncle adds an artistic, one-of-a-kind touch.

Hunter also incorporated special furniture pieces that anchor the space. The Namesake Home Abigail crib, used for all three of her babies, is a sweet symbol of tradition.

A hand-painted armoire discovered on Facebook Marketplace has been given new life as Frankie’s clothing wardrobe, while PetiteKeep trunks hold precious keepsakes.

Even the smallest details, like a vintage jewelry box started just for Frankie’s collection and a painted spice rack repurposed to display trinkets and teacups, reflect a thoughtful approach to design.

Touches from Hunter’s own childhood are sprinkled throughout as well: bunny figurines she once cherished now sit proudly in her daughter’s room, alongside mementos that tell the story of both sides of Frankie’s family.

The result is a space that feels less like a newly decorated room and more like a carefully curated family album filled with pieces that carry history, love, and connection.

This nursery isn’t just a place for Frankie to sleep, it’s a room that reflects generations of love and storytelling. With every sentimental treasure and thoughtful design choice, Hunter and Stephanie created a retreat that celebrates both the joy of welcoming a daughter and the history of the family she was born into.

It’s a nursery built not just for today, but for the memories that will fill it for years to come.
