TTC? These Fertility Experts Now Make House Calls

When you’re trying to conceive (TTC), there are a number of factors that can prove stressful for couples, including tracking your cycles, your ovulation days, your diet, and even figuring your age into the mix.

For many, getting pregnant is oftentimes easier said than done.

And once you add in your expected time frame for getting pregnant (IE. I want to be pregnant this summer!) and find that it’s taking a little longer than you hoped, you may start to unravel, unsure about the next steps to take in your fertility journey.

It’s a perfectly normal reaction and in fact, statistics show that 1.4 million women may benefit from advanced fertility treatment, yet only 23 percent make it to a fertility clinic, and only 10 percent start a fertility treatment cycle.

Individuals and couples are often hesitant to make the first visit to a fertility clinic due to their feelings that treatment is not needed, or they are not “ready,” a mixture of emotional and physical fears, anxiety or financial barriers. Luckily, fertility treatment has come a long way since it began, with things like RFID label tracking making the whole process more efficient and easier to navigate. You’ll get much faster results with a much higher success rate, so there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain!

It’s important to remember that things can still go wrong, however. If you’re worried or need a little more support, let the experts come to you!

Fertility House Calls is a first-of-its-kind program that provides a simple, convenient way to explore fertility options from your home. The new personalized pilot program is designed to reduce the emotional burden associated with the fertility journey by providing a better initial experience with personal access to a fertility nurse.

An online portal facilitates scheduling an appointment at no cost with an experienced fertility nurse and a financial counselor to visit prospective patients at their own home, or a preferred location, on a day and time that’s most convenient, and at no charge, allowing women and couples to explore reproductive treatment options.

The free consultation includes a personalized nurse evaluation, provided by one of CCRM Fertility’s nurses, and the option to speak with a financial counselor. Nurses will assess a person’s fertility journey to date and provide detailed information; the financial counselor can share typical costs associated with treatments. Users who visit the Fertility House Calls website can schedule a 45-minute consultation that will be confirmed within 24 hours.

Fertility House Calls is a pilot program sponsored by Ferring Pharmaceuticals to test a proof of concept of connecting individuals who are experiencing fertility issues with professionals who can help inform and educate them throughout their fertility journey. The program was launched in conjunction with CCRM (Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine) Fertility, a pioneer in fertility science, research and treatment.

The pilot program is currently in the proof of concept phase through June 2020 with CCRM Fertility in the Denver area.

Not in Denver? Don’t worry! Future plans on expanding the Fertility House Calls program are being explored.
