With the Kardashian West residence designed by the renowned Axel Vervoordt, we could only imagine new baby Chicago West’s nursery would have the same, neutral, minimalist tone. The power couple enlisted Vervoordt to give their home a chic edge and while most of the decor elements are white, Kardashian swears a great deal of thought went into making the spaces kid-friendly.

“Everything in the house is Axel Vervoordt furniture and he uses these linen fabrics that we can easily clean,” Kardashian told Architectural Digest. “We have a great playroom, and that’s where all the markers and the paints and the colors are and I really overdo it in the playroom so that by the time they’re done there they have no desire to take a pen on a nice piece of furniture.”

Vervoordt was also tapped to design a space for the latest addition to the West brood and it seems a few statement pieces have stood the test of time, from North to Saint and now, Chicago.

“I’m pretty much using the same crib and everything that I had for our other kids,” Kardashian said. “We have a Vetro Lucite crib and we have a [Jean] Royère bed in there and a really fluffy cream rug. We had a changing table made.”

The Crib

Vetro Lucite Crib, $4,500

“I have a glider with an ottoman for feeding,” Kardashian continued. “With the first baby, I had a rocking chair, and I just love a glider so much more— you can move easier.”
